About the Event
Build your own clay beer stein or coffee mug courtesy of LHK Clay Studio!
In this class, Laura Holling Kaplan - master clay sculptor - will guide you through hand-building steps and show you texture techniques to allow you to create your very own clay stein or mug while you sip on some tasty Pilot beer!
You will be creating your stein/mug from scratch! Yes...from a lump of clay! Best of all, these will be both microwave and dishwasher safe!
With Laura's help, you will choose textures from stamps, rollers and tools that will give your piece its own character and style.
Once your mug or stein is complete, Laura will take it back to her studio to dry and give it a bisque kiln firing. Then, a second firing will be done adding the glaze color of your choice.
Emails will be sent out to let you know when your stein or mug is finished and they will be delivered back to Pilot Brewing for pick up!
Don't worry, this class was created for non-artsy people so come out and have some fun!
Cost: $60 Includes: • One Beer or Wine of Your Choice • All Art Supplies, Professional Instruction, Glaze Color of Your Choice & (2) Kiln Firings of your creation.
